One Two Kazoo is a storytelling game show where three storytellers face off against each other in a competition to see who can tell the wildest, craziest, and funniest story while doing wild tasks, and the audience votes to see which one will take home the Golden Kazoo. Hosted online, the program uses interactive technology so viewers can vote for their favorite storytellers live in their own homes. Featuring Denver storytelling legends Kathryn Avedon, Brenton Weyi, and Vanessa Valerio and hosted by Amber Blais of Rainbow Militia, get ready for some shenanigans.

This event will be hosted live on the online platform Slido. You will not need to download any software and your camera will not be on (so no pants required). Can’t make it live? You’ll be able to watch an instant replay on our YouTube channel later.

If you have the means, please consider contributing $5-$15 to your ticket purchase. (We would normally charge $10 for this event if it were taking place in person.) Just hit the “Pay What You Want” dropdown to select a ticket price.

Amber Blais is the Founder of Raconteur Denver and Producing Director for Rainbow Militia. A Colorado native, she has worked in event planning and production, PR, and marketing for nonprofits throughout Colorado for over 15 years. She has been practicing the circus arts for as long as she can remember and has performed and taught all over the country.

Storyteller Kath Avedon

Kath Avedon isn't your average 20-something gal. She's your go-to pizza party queen, your hype woman, your dance partner, and maybe even the love of your life. She dabbles in many things, but taking the stage to tell tales of her all-over-the-place life is one of her favorite past times. She'll leave you wondering if that actually happened...and trust her, it really actually did.

Storyteller Brenton Weyi

Brenton Weyi explores the human experience through the power of words and performance. He is a lecturer, essayist, award-winning poet, and polymath. He has traveled to over 55 countries engaging communities in the beauty and potency of their untold stories. He has been featured in The LA Times, Huffington Post, and many other sources.

Storyteller Vanessa Valerio

Vanessa Valerio is a Moth Story Slam winner from Dominican Republic, based in Denver. She is an architect during the day and a storyteller and show producer in her free time. She is the host and producer of Singleling Podcast, the traveling variety show Foreign, and the co-host of the show Cards on The Table in Denver, CO. She has appeared on the Emmy nominee webseries The Feels, NBC Latino, Buzzfeed, and PBS' Stories from the Stage. She has written for Bust Magazine, Camara Flash and The Singles Spot.
