One Two Kazoo is a storytelling game show where three storytellers face off against each other in a competition to see who can tell the wildest, craziest, and funniest story while doing wild tasks, and the audience votes to see which one will take home the Golden Kazoo. Hosted online, the program uses interactive technology so viewers can vote for their favorite storytellers live in their own homes. Featuring Denver storytelling legends Gifty Amponsem, Pete Bellande, and Stephen Brackett and hosted by Amber Blais of Rainbow Militia, get ready for some shenanigans.

HOW TO WATCH

This event will be hosted live on the online platform Slido. You will not need to download any software and your camera will not be on (so no pants required). Can’t make it live? You’ll be able to watch an instant replay on our YouTube channel later.

ABOUT THE HOST

Amber Blais is the Founder of Raconteur Denver and Producing Director for Rainbow Militia. A Colorado native, she has worked in event planning and production, PR, and marketing for nonprofits throughout Colorado for over 15 years. She has been practicing the circus arts for as long as she can remember and has performed and taught all over the country.

ABOUT THE STORYTELLERS

Storyteller Gifty Amponsem

Just as a gift is unexpected, but can bring joy and delight, the same can be said about Gifty. Gifty was born and raised outside of Washington D.C. and is a city girl at heart. She spent a year of undergrad in Paris, and completed her studies at New York University with a psychology degree. She works at Denver Health and is working on prerequisites for pharmacy school.

Storyteller Pete Bellande

Pete has always enjoyed telling stories and making others laugh.  When not airing dirty family laundry in front of an audience, Pete can be found playing in the mountains or exploring different city neighborhoods.  Pete works as a Realtor in Denver and recently bought a home in the mountains where he goes to escape into nature on a regular basis.

Storyteller Stephen Brackett

Stephen Brackett is a member of Flobots and a co-founder of the NOENEMIES project, which works within communities to explore the power of protest music, and Youth On Record, a Denver organization that today hosts a state-of-the-art Youth Media Studio and serves at-risk youth with music programs, for-credit classes, and more.
